Motorcycle Belts How Much Horsepower Can A Motorcycle Drive Belt Handle?

How much horsepower can a motorcycle drive belt handle? - motorcycle belts

Many new bikes use the belt instead of a chain of transmission to be transferred to the rear wheel. For my main project of my team is building an engine test stand, and we believe with a belt and pulley motor are configured to connect the brake is connected. Process may I ask myself what is the most powerful of these types of belts. Thank you in advance.

You need to be concerned about torque, not power. The largest of the two rollers on the belt drive is visible. Even the 1 could Gang 1000ft/lbs Motor 200ft/lb coils with a ratio of 0.5 and 3:1 choke trans DIFF.

A belt of a powerful motorcycle to work is likely to run a belt from a compressor. Check out McMaster Carr for chains, sprockets, belts and pulleys. A belt or chain, it will be easier because it requires no power. You can run two or more smaller and belts, which is very effective.

Most belts are designed for the bike forward. You do not see many bikes at 200 hp belt itself. I suggest you go with a chain, gear or shaft.
